Brit & The Cavalry

Brit recalls falling asleep to the lullaby of her mothers cello and waking up to the chaotic bebop licks of her fathers saxophone as a child. Life hasn't changed much since then... Brit & the Cavalry play with a blend of silky strings and horns suddenly terrorized by distorted guitar along with the vocal toppings of a "rootsy chanteuse".

The Beginning: Brit recorded an EP titled "Chapter One." After its release, she realized it would be impossible to create the same sounds live without either growing octopus tentacles or putting a band together.

The Cavalry rescue the maiden from the train tracks: Brit & the Cavalry met at music school. They began performing around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Play, play, play, write, write, write...
