Robotic Birds
Brooklyn, New YorkRobotic Birds are an electronic music duo from Brooklyn, New York consisting of brothers Andrew and Jan. The group came to fruition in 2006 as an experimental outlet called Centric Soul. However, three years later the brothers decided to switch gears and created a new project called Robotic Birds. Drawing on influences from the 60s through 90s, they have been crafting a sound that combines vintage elements with a modern and sometimes futuristic design.
Jan (AKA Tactical) is a musician and graphic designer. In 2003 he scored an independent feature film using a fusion of traditional Arabic instruments and vocals with futuristically-layered breaks and bass lines. Later that year he produced music for a comedy commercial, which aired across Japan advertising the uniqueness of one-on-one English classes, and ranked #1 on Creativity’s adcritic.com. He produces drum & bass and downtempo as Tactical.
Andrew Boss is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Besides his work with Robotic Birds, he has solo project called Isotopes of Neon. The debut EP for that project has been released by Ninthwave Records and is available on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc. Andrew also contributes as a songwriter/producer for other artists.
